Fourteen years ago today, Dalton McGuinty first publicly promised to enact a strong Disabilities Act with effective enforcement. In 2005, the McGuinty Government passed the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) with helpful enforcement provisions, but these are useless if the Government doesn’t fully and effectively use them.
