Rexall Pharmacies in the Province of Ontario Reject Prescription Readers for the Blind in Their DrugStores

Posted June 8, 2022

For the last 2 1/2 years the Alliance for Equality of Blind Canadians-AEBC, along with Script Talk, has been hard at work trying to get Rexall pharmacies in the province of Ontario to introduce this invaluable prescription reader for the blind, in to the drugstore.

Unfortunately, today Rexall pharmacy contacted Script Talk to advise them that they would not be putting the prescription reader for the Blind into service within their pharmacies.

Dean Stacy the chair of the Government Relations Committee for AEBC, who has been working closely with Script Talk when informed, stated that he was extremely disappointed in this outcome.
He further stated “it is disappointing that Rexall has chosen not to step up and be a Community leader, in this very important access issue for the blind.”
