With this technology, a person would be able to purchase a ticket at the ticket booth and actually be able to locate their seat assignment. This research being done at Auburn University in Alabama will enable the blind to navigate areas in buildings, stadiums, theaters, and any other building they chose to enter and interact with their surroundings. Could this eventually help blind individuals navigate a hospital, doctors office building or other professional place that they previously needed an assistant to maneuver?
