The City’s accessible on-street residential parking program is now in place.

The program allows residents with accessibility needs and no on-site parking option the opportunity to reserve a space on the street near their home. The location of the parking space will be determined based on consultation with the applicant and City staff.

Once registered, your vehicle is exempt from time restrictions that may otherwise apply to the designated reserved on-street space.

To participate in the program you need to hold a valid provincially issued accessible parking permit and demonstrate that your residence does not have any on-site parking. Only one reserved on-street accessible space will be approved per residential unit.

The rate for 2017 is $30 per month (taxes included, and is the same as the residential permit rate). The rate is subject to an annual adjustment in accordance with the fees and charges bylaw.
