Former Students Suing Provincially Run School for Alleged Abuse
TORONTO Former students of a provincially run school for the blind, deaf-blind and visually impaired are hoping to find justice for alleged abuse and mistreatment that occurred in the past.
I, along with other students, received abuse from the members of the school, namely the supervisory staff, teachers, guidance counsellors and other staff members who were responsible for our well-being, alleged Bob Seed, 68, a former student of Brantfords W. Ross MacDonald School for the Blind formerly known as the Ontario School for the Blind on the steps of Old City Hall Thursday.

Digital Inclusion: The Benefits of Better Web Accessibility
Soon our mobile phones will become the remote control to our homes. If everything feeds through the internet then as a disabled person, all I need is an accessible internet. If I am blind and need everything to speak to me, in the past all of my household appliances would have to have a speaking chip in them, but if my mobile can do it that is a huge game changer.

For instance, it may be possible to enter a certain venues bathroom in a wheelchair, but if a short flight of stairs rests in the way as Gray observes of the Velvet Lounge that bathrooms wide door wont do a bladder much good. U.S. Department of Justice Continues Enforcement of Accessibility Requirements for Websites and Mobile Apps But Its Rulemaking Still Awaits
With respect to third-party content provided on its website or mobile application, the Peapod settlement requires that Peapod seek a commitment from the vendor to provide content which either conforms, or can be made to conform, to WCAG 2.0 Level AA Success Criteria.

This is not the detailed plan we were promised. It does not ensure the effective enforcement of the AODA. The Government has promised time and again that the AODA would be effectively enforced.

In an access legislation coup, the Ontario Government under new Minister Brad Duguid has built upon his idea of having The Flash run up to Ontario to solve its AODA implementation problems in one day. He had to build on it because he has had a hard time catching up with The Flash to talk with him.
