Canada: Saskatchewan’s Accessibility Plans And Upcoming Requirements
The Act aims to improve accessibility by preventing and removing barriers that disable people with respect to employment, the built environment, information and communications, transportation, service animals, procurement, service delivery and any other prescribed activities or undertakings. “Disability” under the Act is defined as an impairment that, in interaction with a barrier, hinders a person’s full and equal participation in society.

Tiny Eyes More Accessible Parking for Residents
If Tiny council is eyeing up parking spots, it’s for a good reason.
“Under AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005) legislation, we are required to have three per cent of our parking spaces be accessibility spaces,” said Deputy Mayor Sean Miskimins who sits on the AAC as the council representative.

Province Ramps Up Funding for 51 Companies Operating Wheelchair-Accessible Cabs
Minister of Transportation Rob Fleming said the grants will help 51 tax companies across the province reduce maintenance costs for nearly 400 wheelchair-accessible taxis.
