Ontario to Invest $6 Million in Accessibility Programs

Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities, Reza Moridi, came to McMaster this afternoon to announce an additional $6-million investment in accessibility programs at Ontario Universities.

Two Preventable Accessibility Problems Facing Tourists with Disabilities Already Surfaced for the Toronto 2015 Pan/ParaPan American Games

The Toronto 2015 Smart Phone app for Apple devices like the iPhone was released with preventable barriers. These made key parts of the app inaccessible to blind or dyslexic people who use Apples free VoiceOver screen-reader.

Pan Am Games App Deemed Failure by Advocates for People With Disabilities(PWDs)

The Toronto 2015 app has been deemed a failure by advocates for people with disabilities. They say the App for the Panam/Parapan Am Games is not accessible to those who are visually impaired. Christina Stevens reports
