Government of Canada Improves Accessibility for Canadians With Disabilities in Manotick
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 314 is receiving $50,000 through the Enabling Accessibility Fund (EAF) to improve accessibility for Canadians with disabilities.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 314s project consists of installing an accessible lift and an automated door. As a result of this project, the organization
will be able to offer their programs and services to Veterans with disabilities in Manotick.

Getting to the stadium was never promised. The stadiums are accessible but public transit, which had years to prepare, is not. Only 7 of 200 streetcars
are usable for someone in a manual wheelchair. Less than half the subway stations have elevators.

A woman who attended the opening ceremonies of the Pan Am Games this weekend wants a full refund of all her tickets after the lack of accessibility at the site left her frustrated and disappointed.
