More Students Join Class Action by Mental Health Coalition against Stanford University
Three more students have joined a precedent-setting class action brought by Disability Rights Advocates (DRA) against Stanford University for violating the rights of students with mental health disabilities.
The lawsuit alleges that Stanford routinely responds to student mental health crises by barring students from campus and evicting them from on-campus housing, violating disability laws.
What is the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR)?

What is the Information and Communications Standards?
The Information and Communications Standards of the AODA lists rules for organizations to create, provide, and receive information and communications that people with disabilities can access. The standard gives all people an equal chance to learn and be active in their communities.
A Wake Up Call on the Urgent Need to Remove Barriers
Canada has received a wake-up call in recent months about the urgent need to remove physical barriers in the built environment and improve accessibility for people of all abilities.
Public Transportation for Everyone in Ontario
Under the Transportation Standard of the AODA, companies that provide public transportation have to create and implement policies and plans to make their services accessible to passengers with disabilities. Since this law has been enacted, public transit has taken steps to make it easier for everyone to use their services.
